Kashiwa Reysol has been crowned the champions of the Japenese second-tier league with two matches to spare.
Kashiwa sealed un unassailable lead on the log Saturday, November 16 after thrashing FC Machida Zelvia by 3 goals to nil.
Olunga forward who is in the country for international duty for Harambee Stars went to social media to celebrate by saying, ” Champions” alongside Kashiwa Reysol team photo that was taken after their match with Machida Zelvia.
Additionally the prolific Kenyan forward is currently the club’s top scorer having netted a total of 18 goals.
Olunga can now look forward to play his trade as Kashiwa Reysol automatically gets promoted to Japan’s top tie league where they were relegated from last season.
There have been numerous calls from Olung’as fans for him to move to a more competitive league in Europe owing to the stellar performance he had put in the league this season
